Bats are often misunderstood, but they’re one of the most effective mosquito hunters in nature. A single little brown bat (Myotis lucifugus) can eat over 600 mosquitoes per hour.  Bats use echolocation to hunt, allowing them to track fast-moving insects in the dark with pinpoint accuracy. Unlike bug zappers or chemical sprays, bats don’t add pollution or waste. They simply fly, feed, and help out. They also pollinate a number of night blooming flowers that wouldn't flourish without their help.
